The unemployment rate in Slovakia hit a historic low again at the end of November when it decreased 0,16 percentage points from October to 7,76 percent. Compared with end of November of 2006, the unemployment rate was lower by 1.36 percentage points. The number of job seekers able to take up jobs immediately was 201,933 at the end of November. Compared with October, this was 4,138 people less. Compared with last November, the figure decreased by 31,453 people. Labor and social affairs' offices reported a total of 235,723 job seekers at the end of the eleventh month, down by 2,724 compared with October, and a drop of 33,087 people from November 2006. The unemployment rate, calculated from the number of all job seekers, was 9.06 percent in November. This is a 0.11 percentage-point decline compared with the previous month and a 1.45 percentage point drop y/y.
